Welcome to the Hood River County Sheriff's Office Online Reporting System. If this is an Emergency please call 911 immediately. Using this online citizen police reporting system allows you to submit a report immediately to the Hood River County Sheriff's Office. The following conditions must be met to be eligible for online reporting.

  • This is not an Emergency.
  • The suspect(s) is no longer at the scene and is not identified.
  • No obvious evidence exists to readily identify the suspect(s).
  • No obvious investigative leads exist.
  • The crime occurred within the area that the Hood River County Sheriff's Office Patrols.
and the crime being reported corresponds with one of the following crime categories:

  • Lost or Mislaid Property
  • Thefts where the total loss is less than $1000
  • Hit and Run - Property
  • Unlawful Entry into a Motor Vehicle
  • Vandalism where damages do not exceed $1000
  • Mail Theft
  • Fraud
If you answered yes to all of the above questions and the crime falls within one of the listed categories, you are ready to file your report. If the answer is no to any of the questions or it does not fall within a listed category, please contact the Hood River County Sheriff's Office at (541) 386-2711.

Upon completion of this process you will:

  • See the words: "Your online police report has been submitted" showing that your report is complete.
  • Be given a police report reference number.
  • Be able to print a copy of the police report to keep for your records.
Please Note:

  • All cases filed Online Crime Report System will be reviewed by the sheriff's Office personnel.
  • In some cases the report may be returned to you for clarification or minor changes needed.
  • After the report is approved a case number will be assigned.
  • Upon review, if further investigation of your case is needed, you may be contacted by a deputy.

Oregon statute 162.375 makes initiating a false police report a crime.

Fraud Intentional deception for monetary or personal gain. You receive checks in the mail and are asked to cash them and return money to the sender. Hit and Run Property damage only.. Leaving the scene of an accident without exchanging required information Your car is parked and you discover someone has backed into your car and left the scene. Only applicable in situations where no suspect’s exist and no injury resulted.

Unlawful Entry Illegally entering a motor vehicle. Stolen equipment or belongings taken from within a vehicle and/or your vehicle is entered by someone without the authority to do so.
Vandalism Act of defacing, changing, or modifying personal or public property without consent where damages do not exceed $1,000 Keying a car, graffiti, throwing a rock through a window, mailbox destruction.
Type Fraud
