Welcome to the Town Of Mount Pleasant Online Reporting System. If this is an Emergency please call 911 immediately.
Using this online citizen police reporting system allows you to submit a report immediately to the Mount Pleasant Police Department.
The following conditions must be met to be eligible for online reporting.
Reporting Criteria
If you answer NO to all of the following questions, you may file your report online.
  • Is this an emergency? If so, dial 911.
  • Did the incident happen outside of the Mount Pleasant Police Department's Jurisdiction?
  • Unsure if you are in the Mount Pleasant Police Department's Jurisdiction Click Here
  • Did the incident occur on a state freeway, highway or route?
  • Did the incident involve firearms (used by a suspect or taken in a theft)?
  • Did the incident involve theft of a motor vehicle or licensed trailer?

If you answered YES to any of the questions, please refer to our for more information on filing a report.

If your answers DO NOT match the reporting criteria and your incident DOES NOT fit into one of the categories listed, please dial (843) 743-7200 for Charleston County Consolidated Dispatch and a Mount Pleasant Officer will be dispatched.
Upon completion of this process you will:

  • Be given a police report reference number.

Animal Complaint An animal is being a nuisance by barking or running loose in the area. ***If there is an immediate need for Police, call 911 or 843-743-7200*** An ongoing issue with a loud nuisance animal in your neighborhood.
Fraud Intentional deception for monetary or personal gain. You receive checks in the mail and are asked to cash them and return money to the sender. You send money to someone for services or material items that you do not receive. An unknown suspect/s utilizes your personal credit card or checks. Any scam attempts.
Harassing Communication Any unwanted phone calls, text, or email messages, etc. of an annoying, harassing or threatening nature which are received through a electronic device. ***If there is an immediate need for Police, call 911 or 843-743-7200*** Immediate hang-ups, obscene language, etc..., with no known suspects.
Hit and Run Leaving the scene of a non-injury accident without providing required license, insurance or vehicle information. Damage caused by another driver in which the driver should have left information or fled the scene without stopping to exchange information. ***NO KNOWN SUSPECTS***
Identity Theft Obtaining someone else’s personal identifying information and using it to obtain credit, goods, or services. ***If this includes someone using your personal credit card, file a report under the Fraud Report Type*** Someone obtains a credit card using your Social Security number or obtains phone service using your personal information.
Lost Property When property is lost or missing. Property that is missing, leaving items in a restaurant, or items missing from home.
Shoplifting Stealing items of value from a business Beer run (convenience or other store); stealing any item of value and leaving without paying. No suspect name and no physical force used against employee in the commission of the crime. Does not include a gas drive-off. Suspect is unknown.
THEFT A past occurred theft in which property was taken without your permission. Property that is known to be stolen may be reported. Property that is lost should be reported as Lost Property.
Vandalism Any past occurred event where property is damaged or defaced. ***This does not include in progress acts*** Graffiti, smashing a mailbox, throwing a rock through windows, keying a vehicle, etc…
Type Animal Complaint
Example An ongoing issue with a loud nuisance animal in your neighborhood.
