Welcome to the San Luis Obispo County Online Reporting System.
This system allows you to report a crime and print an approved copy of
the report for free. Please check the following minimum requirements to
find out if online filing is right for you.
Conditions that must be met to file a report online:
- This is not an Emergency.

- There are No Known suspects
- This incident occurred within the Unincorporated Area of the
county
If you answered yes to all of the above
questions, you are eligible to initially file your report online.
Please make sure to turn off your pop-up blocking software before
filing the report.
Upon completion of the report you will:
1) See the words: "Your report has been submitted" confirming that your
report is initially complete.
2) Be provided
a report number.NOTE: A valid case number will
be sent via e-mail once a
supervisor has reviewed and approved
your report.
- 3) Be able to print a copy of the report to
keep for your records.

1) All cases filed online will be reviewed
to verify online reporting eligibility and accuracy.-
2) Upon review, if further investigation of your case is needed, you may
be contacted.
3) Filing a false report is a crime!
Using the San Luis Obispo Online Reporting System you can
report the following types incidents:

Annoying/ Harassing Phone Calls (If
you feel you are in danger, please call 911)

Lost Property (Not
to include firearms, narcotics, license plates or items with
serial numbers)
-
Suspicious Circumstances (Not
to include in-progress suspicious subjects, vehicles or
prowlers)
-
Petty Theft (Under
$950 no items with serial numbers)
-
Bicycle Theft (Under
$950, no items with serial numbers)
-
Vandalism (Under
$400)
-
Graffiti
Select Type of Report on the
next page: Select from the list of Report Types, then press
the Next button. The sample information provides examples of the reports
for each Report Type. If you are unsure, contact San Luis Obispo
Sheriff’s Dispatch at (805) 781-4550.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The fields on the Person
screen indicated with red labels as well as sex, DOB, address and phone
number are required in order for your report to be considered for
follow-up investigation.
