Pismo Beach Police Department Online Reporting System

If this is an Emergency, please call 9-1-1


Using this system allows you to submit a report immediately and print a copy of the report for free.  Please confirm the following to find out if online filing is right for you.


·         This is not an emergency.

·         This incident occurred within Pismo Beach City limits, except Identity Theft, which must be reported in the city where you reside.

·         There are no known suspects.

·         This did not occur on the freeway.


If you answered yes to all the above statement, you are ready to file your report online.  Please make sure to turn off you pop-up blocking software before filing the report.  


Upon completion of this process you will;


·         See the words “Your report has been submitted” showing that your report is complete.

·         Be given a temporary case number.

·         Be able to print a copy of the report to keep for your records.


Please note


·         All cases filed online will be reviewed.

·         Once the report has been reviewed, you will receive your permanent case number and receive a copy of the report via email.

·         Upon review, if further investigation of your case is needed, you may be contacted.


·         Filing a false police report is a crime.


Using the Pismo Beach Police Department Online Reporting System you can report the following incidents:

Abandoned Vehicle A vehicle that is abandoned on a public roadway and is not an immediate traffic hazard. A vehicle legally parked along a roadway for over 72 hours
Animal Complaint An animal is being a nuisance by barking or running loose in the area. A dog barking or there are dogs or livestock loose on a roadway or on private property.
Harassing Phone Call Unwanted phone calls of an annoying, harassing or threatening nature. Immediate hang-ups, obscene language, etc. with no known suspects.
Hit and Run Leaving the scene of an accident without providing required license, insurance or vehicle information. Damage caused by another vehicle in which the driver should have left information or fled the scene without stopping to exchange information.
Lost Property When property is missing or lost. Property that is lost or missing, from home, work, business or a public place.
Suspicious Circumst. Something occurred which was out of the ordinary and may lead to a crime. Examples may be finding a broken house key in your front door, receiving strange phone calls, receiving strange letters, etc..
Theft When property is taken without your permission that is valued at $950.00 or less. This does not include someone physically taking something from your person Items such as a bicycle from a yard, purse from shopping cart, taking property from a building/residence by someone that had permission to be there and took the property without owner’s permission. Lost property is not a theft.
Vandalism The act of changing, modifying or defacing public or private property. Graffiti, knocking over mail box, throwing rock through windows, etc.
Type Abandoned Vehicle
Example A vehicle legally parked along a roadway for over 72 hours
Type Animal Complaint
