Welcome to the Morgan Hill Police Online Reporting System.

If this is an Emergency please call 9-1-1.
Using this system allows you to submit a report immediately and print a copy of the report for free. Please confirm the following to find out if online filing is right for you:


o    This is not an emergency.

o    This incident occurred within Morgan Hill City limits,  except Identity Theft, which must be reported in the city where you reside.

o    There are no known suspects.

o    This did not occur on a state freeway.


If you answered yes to all of the above statements, you are ready to file your report online. Please make sure to turn off your pop-up blocking software before filing the report. If you answered no to any of the questions please look at our Frequently Asked Questions section.


Upon completion of this process you will:


o    See the words: "Your report has been submitted" showing that your report is complete.

o    Be given a temporary case number.

o    Be able to print a copy of the report to keep for your records.

Accident No Injury A vehicle accident where there are no injuries or only property damage. Before starting please make sure you have your car and drivers license information and the other drivers car and drivers license information if another car was involved. You are involved in an accident where there is damage to your car but nobody is injured or requires medical attention. You hit a post or mailbox and nobody is injured. Custody Order Willful disobedience of custody terms outlined in a court order. Failing to meet at predetermined public area to exchange custody of child(ren) or consistently arriving late at predetermined exchange location.
Harassing Phone Call Unwanted phone calls of an annoying, harassing or threatening nature. Immediate hang-ups, obscene language, etc. with no known suspects.
Hit and Run Leaving the scene of an accident without providing required license, insurance or vehicle information. Damage caused by another vehicle in which the driver should have left information or fled the scene without stopping to exchange information.
Identity Theft Obtaining someone else's personal identifying information and using it to obtain credit, goods or services. Someone obtains a credit card using your S.S.N. or obtains phone service using your personal information.
Lost Property When property is missing or lost. Property that is missing, leaving items in restaurant, or missing from home.
Theft Your property is taken without your permission. Property known to be stolen and missing may be reported. Lost property is not a theft.
Vandalism The act of changing, modifying or defacing public or private property. Graffiti, knocking over mail box, throwing rock through windows, etc.
Vehicle Burglary Property is stolen from a motor vehicle. Stolen equipment or belongings from a vehicle.
Vehicle Tampering Tampering with a Motor vehicle. Keying, broken windows, or attempts to remove parts.
Type Accident No Injury
